    Part of a French banking Group, this major bank in the Czech Republic is one of the most efficient global banks in Central Europe, providing retail, corporate and investment banking services. With 8,803 employees serving 2.6 million clients using an extensive network of 398 branches throughout the Czech Republic, operating 699 ATMs serving 1.1 million customers.

    In cooperation with Devoteam, the bank prepared a plan to develop the Configuration Management System (CMS / CMDB) with a team of Czech and international experts with similar extensive implementation experience. Based on the long-term architectural vision aligned with the Group's technology standards, the bank selected the HP UCMDB solution. The HP UCMDB served as a technological platform for the implementation of the CMS and also enabled automatic monitoring infrastructure. The implementation team integrated UCMDB HP into the existing management system, including the Service Desk. Currently it is the only implementation of HP UCMDB with such scope in the Czech Republic (approximately 1.5 million configuration items and 2 million relations).

    The configuration database now enables a perfect overview of the IT infrastructure, including the links to the application layer and business services, supporting quicker identification of failure causes and thereby shortens their duration, reducing the time required for the new systems and services deployment. The risk of unexpected failure during planned changes is now significantly reduced and can be closely managed.
